I had a great birthday this year!! Usually my birthdays are meh, making me dread it as each year goes by, but this year it was surprisingly a good one! :)

I don't know if I'm gonna go into detail here but.

27th September 2008:

I turned twenty one. The day was more or less okay. I was feeling really exhausted from having trouble sleeping two nights in a row, plus Body Jam session at the gym on Friday. So I was a bit loopy and weird and pretty much spouting nonsense the whole time.

Some birthday texts woke me up, but that ain't the worst way to get woken up right? :)

Tutorial, lecture (where the boys started to sing happy birthday but LKS walked in so I shushed them lol), lunch with Tzen (THANKS FOR LUNCH BABE) and then again at Excapade with Sheena and Grace where we were all giggly haha

I went back for a much needed nap.

Woke up to get ready for dinner.

Dinner (at OGH again) was quite fun. We had some funny conversations that I can't remember now.... but I do remember we were talking about when we were born, like who was the hardest to give birth to, what time were we born, etc. And my dad was telling us about an ailment one of my sisters had and we were asking why she had this ailment and he started to tell us that it happened before she was born.

Sisters: Huh? What do you mean?

Dad: You see, when you were conceived-

Me: I don't wanna hear this *plugs fingers into ears*

lol. I think he used the wrong word :S heh heh.

Argh. Can't remember what else. Anyhoos. Moving on.

28th September 2008:

I turned twenty one and a day! :) I had dinner plans with the gang at 6.30pm at Fratini's in KB. Tzen had asked me to pick her up so I texted her before I left home telling her that I was on my way.

So when I reached her place I gave her a call to see where she was. She picked up after a few rings.

T: Hello...?

B: Hey.. where are you??

T: omg!! I just woke up??

B: Er.. you do know that it's 6.15 right? I'm waiting outside your house.

T: ok ok! I'm so sorry!! I'll get ready now! Come up lah.

B: Nah it's okay, I'll just wait in the car.

T: Aiya come up lahh!!

B: No seriously, it's okay I'll just wait in the car. I need to call Fairuz anyway.

T: ohh.. okay then.

I hang up.

I called Fairuz. No answer.

I hung up feeling frustrated and just a little bit annoyed. I was thinking how inconsiderate it was that Tzen asked me to pick her up, and is making me wait because she didn't wake up in time, and I was also annoyed that Fairuz isn't answering my call or text. Then I started thinking, why was Tzen so adamant that I wait upstairs? If she can get ready quickly it wouldn't make sense for me to turn off the engine and walk upstairs only to go back down again?

It clicked.

OMG THEY'RE ALL UPSTAIRS AREN'T THEY!!!!

I started laughing and wondered if I should go up then. Hmmm, nah I think I'll just wait till Tzen calls me again (and I was sure she was gonna call me again if I was right)

TA-DAH my phone rings!!~

T: *nervously* I don't know what to wear!!

B: *resigned, but smiling* Okay, I'll come up

lol. Made my way upstairs. The living room was deserted. "Tzen~~" I sang out.

Her bedroom door was closed. I knocked. Tzen called out, "Come in"

And I opened the door to find darkness but the three candles lit on my birthday cake :)

"Happy Birthday Anna/Bella!" My friends said sheepishly.

:D

It was sooo funny and soooo sweet that they had planned this out. I didn't expect this at all, and I wish I did not figure things out at the last minute ^^ YOU GUYS DID NOT COUNT ON MY LAZINESS DID YOU! HAHAHAHAH it was funny because they were arguing over whose fault it was that their plan did not work :P

But thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!! It was seriously sweet!!

Everything At A Standstill

.... when you're not around.

My days are finally slowing down. I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the hangouts and driving up and down Bandar Lumut blah blah (I hate my long commute! lol you can tell I'm not a Sony Ericsson user can't you HAHAHA)

Anyway I had the whole house to myself yesterday and today :) I had to work over the weekend but my sisters had Saturday off so they went home. No matter! I finally had everything to myself whee!

So yesterday was crazy hot! According to online sources it was like 40-43 degrees yesterday :(

No likey the heat. But it's nice and cool today though, looks like it's gonna rain :)

I keep having dreams of finding someone I love and running away from them to see if they'd follow. Usually they do, but I can't help but think that it would be otherwise in real life.

Didn't do much other than work. Ran some errands after. Blah blah.

I'm feeling serene??? I don't know. I miss my friends.

My drive to succeed is now officially OBLITERATED. lol. I have no idea where it went. Laziness!! :(

What I've read in the past week:

1) Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

I HATE THIS BOOK! It depressed me to bits and the ending made me feel cheated. Wasted all those emotions on that??? LOLS. Nicely written though, but make sure you're not pmsing when you're reading this. D-E-P-R-E-S-S-I-N-G!

2) Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer

Final book in the Twilight saga. Not too bad yo!

3) A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini

omg this is so good! It was so moving, sad, thoughtful, I love it. :) I should really stop reading in the office though, I must've looked pretty weird biting my lower lip and clenching my jaw trying not to cry. I'm definitely getting his other book The Kite Runner. It reminds me of The Book Thief because the setting is in war torn Afghanistan (where as The Book Thief was on World War II) Do I like books on wars or something? lol. Anyway I really recommend this book!!

Lastly, I wanted to share a song I came across when Perez-ing. Love the video and the song's not too bad :)

Shortlived Epiphany!

I realised yesterday that I focus a little too much on the bad stuff in life these days, and I think I should remind myself about how good I have it:

1. I have a home
2. I have a family that loves me (no matter how dysfunctional we are)
3. I have friends who care about me
4. I still have a chance to make something out of my life
5. I am still healthy, and have all my limbs (now. *touch wood*)

That being said, I was back to whining about the little dramas in life again this morning and also I'm getting lazy already (not doing work, not revising, feel like skipping classes) so that is why I think my epiphany was shortlived :P

Help me people!!

You So Sexy Like Chopstick

lols! I had muchos fun with the girlies (plus Tashry) yesterday!! Was frickin' exhausted though. I had tutorial at 9 (which I almost forgot about, and hence, was late) then lecture 10 to 11.30 (it always ends half an hour earlier than it should) then I hung around FBEPS with Sheena, Grace and Nazey who got annoyed when we couldn't stop talking about food. WAH! :S

lols. Anyway the reason why I was hanging around there was because I was waiting for Rindy Windy and Miss Fairuzeta to come up bandar. Anyhoos they picked me up and we went to MOE (because Fairuz had to melapor) and then drove around (trying to find OGH HAHA we're so KBian hehe) then we went to Gadong where I couldn't stand the hunger and thus ate at Jollibee. With my friends who are fasting :S I only had a pear for breakfast, I'm so sorry!! but they didn't mind. :D
lalalala they sent me back to UBD cos I had Spanish at 3. Tzen no se siente muy bien (HARHAR the only thing I actually managed to say to Dr Paolo. so sad)

Rushed to work after that.

After work rushed to OGH.

Had dinner. At around 9, left for home. Sat in front of laptop trying to do assignment.

Went to bed around half past midnight.

Woke up at 8 for work :(

Worked till 2.30pm

Came home. blah blah blah I just realised what a boring post this is so I shall end it here :D

Rinni's leaving on the 19th :( :( :( :'( :'( There's just not enough sad smileys to describe how SAD I feel!!!! :( :(

I'm gonna miss hanging out with everyone so much!!! To be honest, you two are like the glue that brings us together. Other than that we're all just so busy, so caught up with other issues, so scattered all around the place.... I'm gonna miss you girlsssssssssss! :(

Gonna miss you toooo Miss Fairuz!!!! :( You haven't been home long enough!! And you're leaving on the 30th! :( But thanks for fixing your flight after my birthday :) WAH I FEEL SO SAD!!!! :( :(
