Howdy Ho~

Okay so I was bored the other time and I was looking through my archives and guess what? I just realised my posts are getting more and more boring. Plus my English is suckifying. Oh no!

Anyway so I'm trying to keep maintaining this blog but I barely go online when I'm up in Bandar so no promises. Well at least I'm not the only one. Vis only blogs like every 3 months or so and Sheena pops into her blog every once in a while. Heheh. What has happened to us people?! We used to flood each others taggies like almost everyday. We should be that jobless again!

Ok onwards to something random.

I think I've mentioned before that Vicki was in HK. Well she came back like 3 weeks ago and brought back some souvenirs. What did I get?


Heheh yeah I know what you're thinking. You're thinking awwww what is that???? Well I'll answer you! They're this... umm, tamagotchi/clock like thingy. The blue one is mine, and the pink one is my sister's. They're piggies.

Bella's sleeping piggy. It's not as interactive as a tamagotchi. If it needs food/takes a dump/is sick/needs a shower/needs exercise/blah blah, all you have to do is press a button on top and it'll be a-ok once again.

My baby's tramp stamp (please watch How I Met Your Mother). Super annoying funny thing about it is: It snorts. Seriously it snorts ALL THE TIME. When it's hungry it'll snort. When it's sleeping it's snorts. And there's even a button that can make it sing! And by sing I mean snort.

Ting's baby's tramp stamp. It's a girl piggie. (I just learned in Spanish that pig is coccino/a! So, esta es una coccina muahaha!) Oh if you put the two piggies facing each other and press the "Sing" option, they'll sing a duet. And again, by sing, I mean snort musically.

My cousin hates them because they're noisy. When it needs anything it'll just snort randomly and loudly. It also shows the time, and yes there's an alarm option. And I think by now you'd know how the alarm would be. It'll snort you awake! And being a houseful of people who love to sleep, we dare not use that function as it may result in piggie deaths.

Anyhoo, something else my sister got...

HAHAHA isn't it adorable!!!! It's a tissue dispenser thingy. You put a roll of toilet paper inside it (there's a zip for that) and pull the tissue out of its nose. It's cool! And yes, it is in fact a piggie too. Vicki has this thing about piggies. But this piggie has no eyes. Tis a freaky piggie. But who needs eyes when you can pull tissue out of it's nose!! HAHAHAHA it's cuddly too like a stuffed animallllllll!

Cloverfield

Cloverfield! I like and I hate!

**SPOILERS AHEAD***

Oh gawd, what can I say about this movie???????

The brainchild of J.J. Abrams, the acclaimed creator of Lost and Alias.

Naturally, wonderful graphics, considering it's all shot like it's on video cam and thingamajig.

Very very dizzying. I was laughing at the three guys sitting at the front row in front of us. They were like clutching their heads in agony. So funny.

Why I like Cloverfield:
- Very suspenseful, it literally had me squealing and sitting at the edge of my seat
- Great cinematics. The monster scaarrryyyyyyyyy.
- A bit of funny parts. Hud (the guy holding the camera for 98% of the movie. 98% pasal at the end he mati. Chewed up and spit out by the monster. He died, but the camera survived. Go figure.) provided most of the comedy.
- I love J.J. Abrams okkkk. I've always loved Lost, and I did like Alias (even though I stopped watching it after a while)

Why I absolutely hate Cloverfield:
- So very the cliffhanger.
- I pening.
- Again with the cliffhanger, in my opinion the worst flaw of the movie. Ok, so you're trying to make it realistic as in we're watching a video recording right? But still... I STILL DO NOT EFFING KNOW WHAT THE TERM "CLOVERFIELD" MEANS! Also, I don't know whether they managed to kill the monster or not. We do not know where it came from. We don't even know WHAT it is. Monster? Alien? Government experiment? WE DON'T KNOW AND WE NEVER WILL! Unless got Cloverfield 2: The other video. LOL.
- Characters are kind of... stupid annoying paloi no comment.
- A bit unrealistic in some parts. Beth, a character who only appears at the beginning and the end of the movie, somehow survives being stabbed clean through with a metal pole and also a helicopter crash and still manages to run fast. I dunno. Adrenaline? But she was bleeding steadily for an hour or so.
- A bit cornayyyyyy. The love story part. Seriously. It's not believable. Maybe character build-up was the problem. I just don't believe it. A rational person would've already escaped. I don't believe that he loves her enough to go through all the shit that he went through.

Okay I know I've got more comments than these but I am tireddddddddd. Over and out.

EDIT:: (26/1/2008) apparently there was something after the credits rolled and also some weird thing at the end of the movie when there was the old footage of Rob and Beth on the ferris wheel. The thing at the end of the credits was apparently a garbled whisper which, when played in reverse, was someone saying "It's still alive..."

.... Right. Because everyone WOULD come prepared with a tape recorder to a movie. Right.

Sigh. Anyway aforementioned whisper here. (can't seem to post the player so I'll just post the link)

It's only 'cause I'm listening to one of the songs from Scrubs, specifically from the episode My Musical, where Turk and JD sings to each other about their (totally straight) love for each other. But it's hilarious because they seem so gay. Haha.

Also, I'm stuck in a perpetual state of PMS. So don't mess with me bitches. >:(

Only had classes last Monday so for now I'm bumming around at home during the day and working at nights. Was so bored up till the point that I rajin cari Sheena and Grace for brunch. Yang paloinya, we were at Jing Chew for like half an hour then we were informed that they were closing in ten minutes.

Waiter: *gibberishgibberish* tutup at 10.30
Bella: What?
Waiter: Close at 10.30.
Bella: *checks phone, saw that it was 10.23* Now kah?
Waiter: Ten minutes.
Bella: Oh ok... Why kan?
Waiter: Blibed (I swear, that's what I heard)

Bella: *blinks* Oh ok.
(Waiter leaves)

Anyhoo, I'm quite annoyed that my timetable this semester is getting all fucked up. I don't get it. They arrange our timetable, and it ends up having clashes all over the place. Also, I really am disgusted at other people's selfishness.

Ixnay On The Oredombay

Welcome to Bella's random review!

After years of it's release, I finally caught X-men: The Last Stand.

Ok I lie, I only caught like the last half hour on Star Movies. Nothing else to watch wah.

Here's a quick recap of what I surmise to be the last battle between humans vs bad mutants vs good mutants.

Magneto heads one side, and some forever to be remained nameless human heads the other. (Forever to be remained nameless because I am probably never gonna watch it again.)

Plus Wolverine, Storm, Iceboy, Kitty, Beast and the really-strong-mutant-whose-name-escapes-me are on the way in their super jet plane that can turn invisible.

Jean Grey looking foxy with red hair, but wearing an ill-fitting leather suit plus unflattering corset.

Magneto smirks as humans raise their guns and open fire. He raises his arm to stop incoming bullets. "Plastic?" he murmurs, "They do catch on..." He then orders a mannish woman mutant to destroy their weapons with her shockwave.

Mannish woman mutant destroys weapons with shockwave.

(A chunk of the battle to be inserted here, I forgot what happened.)

Good mutants arrive. Wolverine and Beast battles random bad mutants that come his way. Storm takes on girl with lip stud. Iceboy ices whatever he can.

Juggernaut, who is apparently Irish/Scottish, is ordered by Magneto to "get the boy."

From this point I can only speculate on the identity of this boy.

Juggernaut pounds through, and lets humans/good mutants bounce off him like beachballs. Then smashes through a wall, which reminded me of cartoons where there would be an outline of whoever smash through haha.

Wolverine hisses, "They're going after the boy!" (Again, who is this boy?) Kitty declares that she'll go after him, and melts through the wall, leaving the ever-so-quick Wolverine yelling "Kitty no!"

Suddenly scene turns to inside the building. Two scientists sprints down a hallway, turns a corner and find themselves face to face with mannish woman mutant and tattooed asian guy.

They immediately do a comical u-turn and find themselves trapped by a purply woman mutant.

Man scientist taken captive by women mutants. Asian guy restrains hysterical woman scientist.

"Shh..." he cooes while he hugs her, "Everything's gonna be alright..."

Stupid woman scientist actually calms down. Tattooed asian guy then turns into spiky tattooed asian guy. Woman scientist slides to the floor dead. Bella is impressed :D

Scene flashes to the roof. Man scientist pleads for his life.

"Are you the one who discovered the cure?" Asian guy asks coldly.

Man scientist whimpers, "Yes yes, it was me, please, I just want to help you!"

Asian guy leans down till he is nose to nose with scientist. He hisses, "Do we look like we need your help?", and proceeds to push scientist off building. I am awed by how evilly cool asian guy is.

Before scientist hits the ground, a winged boy saves him. At this point I remember that the winged boy is called Archangel, and the scientist is his father.

Kitty chases Juggernaut, catches him and melts through the floor leaving Juggernaut stuck mid-waist. She then twirls around and melts through wall.

Juggernaut snarls, "Don't you know who I am, luv? I'm the Juggernaut!" (Not sure bout the luv part, but it sounds right haha)

Blah blah blah

Juggernaut rams headfirst into the wall and Kitty runs away with the boy (who is pale and hairless and sucks powers out of mutants).



Most of the humans die. Magneto loses his powers, leaving him with a then cool, now silly name, and Jean Grey who is now Phoenix has a psycho freakout.

Asian tattooed mutant dies :(

Iceboy engages in battle with Fireboy Pyro. Outcome of battle? Iceboy becomes Iceman and Pyro got burnedddddd. Plus very lame trash talk ("You're still in school?" "You never should've left.")

Wolverine who is able to regenerate (like Claire and Adam from Heroes :D) is the only one able to withstand Phoenix's powers, and thus the only one able to stop her.

She accuses, "You will die for them?" and I says you know I says along with Wolverine, "No... for you... I will die for you..."

But then he tipu and ends up killing her. She dies with a smile on her face and Wolverine continues his sequel to the weepy fit he had in X-men 2.

In the end, all my questions were answered.

My questions were:

Where the f are Cyclops, Prof X and Rogue?

Ans: Dead, dead and got rid of her powers (so she and Bobby can now consummate their love without risking Bobby's death)

Wolverine gets the honour of uttering the very cool parting line of the movie: Not bad, furball.

Should've asked for other As, por favor. =( I guess I could've worked harder, but it's too late now. Must try harder this sem. (I'm pretty sure I said the same thing last sem, sigh.)

Uni in 3 days! I can't believe I haven't seen Sheensies and Gracie since exams. Harhar, I miss you guys.
